GIRLS CAMP

This past week was girls camp and as most of you know, I was the camp director for our ward. It was a lot of work, but also a ton of fun!! I really enjoyed getting to know our young women. We have a great bunch of girls!

I even had an opportunity to ride a mechanical bull, which was quite a treat!

These were the bags my friend and I made for the girls. They were a big hit!
As you can tell, I was quite proud of myself for coming up with the idea and I think they turned out great! I must say I owe my friend BIG TIME though! I started out helping her with the first few. Then Devin got sick and when she saw my stress she just finished them for me because they were left at her house and brought them to me when they were done. I have been so blessed to have such great friends here, I had a few that were a big help! Then, I had to put the strings through them and Mikayla offered to help me with that. She was not even getting one and offered to spend her time to help me. What would I do without her?!!

I can not go with out mentioning Matt. He was also a huge help! He spent the week running around and staying up right with me (without complaining!). I love him so much and appreciate the support he gives me.
Now we can try to get back to normal here in our household. Matt and the kids were very supportive and a lot of help. I know they need a break just like me! I could not have done it without my family and friends, they helped me make girls camp a big success. A big THANK YOU to all that helped!!!!!

Glad you had a great time...you do have a great group of girls. I had them in Primary many moons ago. I love those girls and miss them so much. Have fun with them and tell them Sis. Schaefer loves them.

And thank you Shelyse for letting us borrow Matt for the faucets. You saved our marriage from weeks of contention! Looks like you had a great time too!

I love girls camp, much better than scout camp. A bit more drama though.
