Our new little dude

This is our new addition to the family.
He made a unexpected entrance into this world 11 days early. I was out of town doing captain training in Memphis. You guessed it I missed the birth!!!! Lucky for Shelyse her mom was there to help out.
I was about to walk into the classroom when I got this call from Tiffany. She was frantic more so than usual Haha. She told me that Shelyse was in labor and they were in the car on the way to the hospital. I could here Shelyse screaming in the background "I'm gonna throw-up!,I'm gonna throw-up! AAHH". Tiffany was on the other cell phone with the hospital and all I could do was listen and hope for the best. Tiffany must be very talented to be able to drive in a place that she doesn't know where she is going, and talking on two cell phones at the same time. So the last thing that I herd before she hung up on me was theres a cop! I could hear the van horn honking over and over. Then I herd Tiffany get out of the car and yell I NEED YOU!!!!!. Then the phone went dead. So Im thinking what the crap. What should I do. I needed to take this test to finish training. I was making arrangements to get home ASAP. Then about 30 later Tiffany called back and and told me they called the ambulance and they were on the way to the hospital. I could tell by her voice that she was frazzled more that ever but she was doing a good job of holding it together. I could tell that she was worried. She told me to go finish my test and not to worry. YA right!!!!
I went to finish my test and did well considering. I had a message on my phone saying that Devin was born in 1 hour and 10 min from the time the cramping started.
So hows that for a story.
I made it home that night by 10pm and stayed with Shelyse at the hospital.
